Those of you who have been following our journey here not only at Dingle Marsh Barns in Dunwich but also with our sister company, Dingle Hill Tearooms will know that the very end of 2017 and all of 2018 were a rather stressful and very busy time for us. Taking on another business when your pre-existing one is already pretty darn busy was a lot to say the least and if I’m honest it was a real learning curve for us all. Having made it through the first year of owning the holiday cottages we have all had time to take stock and look at ways of improving what we have here in Dunwich. We are more than blessed to have been given the opportunity to buy such a beautiful building and our aim over the next few months, years and even decades is to not only maintain but enhance what we have here and make not only the holiday cottages but also the Tearooms and really special destination. We have so many people who come and stay and visit for the day that are overwhelmed with the beauty of the local area that I think sometimes it is easy to forget what we have on our doorstep. For example, I walk outside regularly in the morning to pop the horses out and walk the dogs and come face to face with deer ranging from munkjack to red deer stags and think nothing of it! So, back to the main purpose of this post. I take full responsibility for the fact that I have been somewhat slack in updating this blog and also posting on our social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook & Instagram) over 2018. It was one of those things that I kept putting to the back of the list of priorities. trust me when I say that my list for the day often ends up being an A4 page if not more! However, 2019 is a new year and I am super keen to share with you all everything that we have going on here in Dunwich and so i solemnly swear to keep you as updated as humanly possible through the medium of this blog and also our social media accounts. We’ve had some glorious weather over the last couple of days so I am forever hopeful that Spring may just be only round the corner (fingers crossed) and with February Half Term starting as of this coming Friday we are in for a busy week for sure. Last little note, here’s a picture above of us and a picture below of us with our fabulous team – the people without whom none of this would be possible! Remember to look out for updates as I’m sure 2019 will be full of all sorts of adventures for us…
