You may be thinking that it’s been a while since our last blog post, in fact it’s been nearly 2 years. To be perfectly honest, we have been so busy with juggling everything, that we just haven’t had the time to sit down and write. When that last blog was posted, none of us had any idea what life would be like currently.
As many of you know our sister company, Dingle Hill Tearooms had another busy summer this year and we would like to thank everyone that made the journey to visit us. Luckily this year, we managed to open from April unlike July in 2020, giving us the opportunity to have a complete season. The weather was really on our side again this year, with only a handful of times we couldn’t open unlike previous years.
Since 2020, staycations have been high in demand. Fortunately, this meant for us we were fully booked all through the summer, and Dunwich was full of locals and tourists. It was great to see people out and enjoying themselves compared to how we started the year. We are so lucky to have such beautiful surroundings on our fingertips.
The dreaded C word seems to be the only thing what we talk about now. However, Covid has impacted almost everyone and everything. Our hearts go out to our friends and families that have been affected. It doesn’t seem to be getting any better yet, please try to stay safe.
It will soon be spring, and the tearoom will reopen, we cannot wait to welcome our regular and new visitors next year from Monday 28th March 2022.
We also have some exciting news which you will hear in greater detail in the new year as we are currently renovating our new bed and breakfast rooms next door which used to be the Phoenix Centre.
